*First start was red flagged after Oberto appeared to hook the boat. David was in lane 2 when the rudder hit something in the water and sent the boat through the roostertail of the U-3, causing it to nearly hit the start/finish boat. The accident also damaged the skid fin area severly allowing it to take on water. David was sore but ok.

Heats 3A & 3B were canceled.
