**Flagrant fuel violation
U-3 lead for most of the heat since Oberto was penalized a lap.  The U-3 Miss Chrysler Jeep went dead on the backstretch of the final lap, allowing the U-5 FormulaBoats.com to seemingly take the win. However, after the ABRA reviewed the stats from the U-5, they discovered the flagrant fuel violation and took away the finish & points of the U-5, moving Ken Muscatel into first!
UPDATE:The flagrant fuel violation call was reversed. The U-5 was then awarded 1st again, and the next 2 boats moved back down 1 place and points.

U-100 made it out for the 5 minute gun but sounded terrible. They pulled back into the pits before the heat start. Unfortunately they packed up everything once they got the boat out.

*Formula driven by Mike Allen flipped on the 3rd lap in the front stretch.  Word has it that he was unconscious & mumbling at first, but was revived and seemed fine. He was taken to the hospital after the final resumed as a precaution.
**Was trailer on first run but moved into the front line after Mike Allen's accident.  Spirit of Detroit was then allowed to run.
